Community is better in person

On Nov 7 and 8, those looking to find their people—or their purpose—on the peninsula, got their chance. Two events invited West Seattle residents to gather, connect, and get inspired to get involved.
This unique weekend pairing featured a documentary film screening and a community fair, both designed to spark civic engagement and deepen local belonging.

In addition, West Seattle Joiners launched a club and group directory to browse when you need to.

Find lots of pictures, videos, and recaps of the events on Instagram and Facebook. Attendees have some amazing content, too! Here’s one of our favorite videos, thanks to Scott Hansen.

The West Seattle Joiners formed after a small group of friends watched the documentary film “Join or Die” and recognized the power of the movie to help people plug back into community after the Covid pandemic.

The partnership with West Seattle Meaningful Movies & launching the Joiner Jamboree were logical next steps.
